Day Off!

So it has been absolutely beautiful here the last few days. Today Owen and I went to Shelly Beach, a cove near well known Manly Beach. This first picture is taken from Shelly Beach of Manly.

Today also happened to be the day of the lunar eclipse. Sadly with no tripod the photo is a bit fuzzy, but that reddish spot is not a random light but the moon. Not as crazy as I was expecting but still good.

Owen's Birthday Cake

This would be my lovely decorating capabilities. I had a little difficulty this year and ended up being creative and making Owen a monkey Birthday Cake.

Emma's Bday

I was going to wait as this week is Owen's Birthday and just put all the pics in one post, but why not make it two? This is Emma, Gina and I at the Rose Hotel pub. We all went to uni together. I'm not a very exciting writer about these things..... it's probably best for me to stay away from rambling stories that somewhat have to do with the pics!

Quick look at the new haircut

Here is a picture of my new haircut. A girl from the cafe was back visiting from Japan so we went out to eat dinner at a really good Czech restaurant. This is a picture of Yui, Kyoko and myself.

Birthday and a bit of Travel

A group of us from the cafe celebrated Kyoko's Birthday. We went over to Yuriko's place. She no kidding made about five entrees and three main dishes for five of us to eat!!! Too much but it was all good. Here is picture of Kyoko, myself and Dani.
On the couch is Anthea, Kyoko, Yuriko, Dani and Me.

This past weekend Owen and I went down to Canberra to visit his mates. I decided (because I always think about doing it...) that I should take a few pictures of the countryside, from a rest stop of course.

Finally, Part III

Okay- so the end of February my friend Sarah came back to Australia for a visit with her friend Kaitlin and we climbed the Harbour Bridge which was really good and not quite as scary as I thought it might be. Don't you just love the outfits?? Just as a directional, the Opera House and city are on the right side of this photo. Behind my outstretched hand is Cremorne Point where Owen's parents live and Owen and I live a bit above and towards or past the left side of the photo.

Over Easter holiday weekend Owen and I went up to the Blue Mountains with Giles and Caite to see them at a rock climbing festival, hence me buying a pair of climbing shoes and now Owen and I go about once a week (indoors of course as I'm too scared to do the outdoorsy stuff!!).
Josie and her housemates had a fabulous St. Patrick's Day party. Here we are, sadly the good picture doesn't show all of the green decorations everywhere.
Owen's cousin David had a fancy dress 21st Birthday Bash. This is a picture of Owen and I with his cousin Carin and her boyfriend Brad.

Part II

So I should have done this backwards so it will fully be in chronological order but this will just have to do. Will start with a few pictures from our trip to the States last xmas. Our trip included visits to St. Louis, Oklahoma, Dallas, San Antonio, Chicago and of course the lovely LAX airport.
This is my mom and I ice skating in Oklahoma City. It was a really nice night out and lots of fun especially as there was only one fall between the three of us!
While in San Antonio Owen and I went to the Buckaneers Saloon and Museum (something like that). They pretty much have every animal you can think of taxidermied and a wild west museum area as well as the saloon area.
Off to Chicago, here is a picture of Liane and I from New Years, which it was absolutely freezing that night and I realized how I really was thankful that it was unseasonably warm during our visit.
This is Owen and I outside of the first Bure we stayed in. It had a beautiful view of the ocean which was to our left.
These are two Aussie girls, Michelle and Tanya, who were on the same tour as us so we hung out on all of the islands.
This final picture is the view from the summit of Kuata. We went on an early morning hike and it took us about 30 min. to get to this point. Beautiful though and nice to be doing some exercise after a month of holiday!!!
