Outdoors

Heya so here is a bit of a catch up of some new pics- let's see, i guess maybe a month ago (already!?) owen and i went hiking for the weekend. We had some beautiful weather and after some difficulty working out how to get off the train at the correct stop (not only do you tell the driver but you apparently have to be in the last car to get the platform... which we didn't realize and i kept thinking how unsafe it was to have to jump out on to tracks... which thanks to door difficulties we did not do).
At our campsite I decided the rocks looked like a face while enjoying a fire (yay no fire ban!) and waiting for it to get fully dark before we would allow our exhausted selves to go to sleep!
The next day we caught a ferry back towards home and here is a view of all the people out sailing.

Then this past weekend Owen and I went to Bateman's Bay. Unfortunately the weather wasn't quite so nice and we were feeling really lazy, but we did make it down the coast a bit and explored around guerialla bay. I loved the pink rocks in the puddles!

Random weekend

Hey there so here are a few pics-
First is the finally uploaded pic from owen's bday

Then over the long weekend we went up to Newcastle for a 'this is not art' festival and to have a look around. It was a bit windy! Like the hair? And I've rubbed off this is so not my random photos but owen's! (ok mine is the one that follows though)

We headed down south a touch to Lake Macquarie for some camping. As we only planned our trip on Saturday... we were a bit behind on fully booked beautiful ocean side camping- but we managed at a lake side caravan park and watched a pelican while we ate.
On the way home we stopped off at Avoca Beach for a short wander around.

Engagement party, birthdays and going aways

Hey there so I've been a bit slack, although truth be told, we haven't taken all that many photos (unless you count the really random ones I took one weekend which aren't really blog worthy)
So here are some photos from our engagment party:

US Holiday

Hey there here are some pics from our recent holiday!
We (Owen, his dad Brad and I) started off in LA right by Santa Monica Pier. On our last day there we went to the Getty Center and here is a picture of one of their gardens with downtown LA in the background. Then we headed off to Dallas to see Mike and Jen and we went to La Hacienda which Emmett calls Bear Hunt. After Dallas we went to Oklahoma and my parents friends had a BBQ for us. Look at the Aussie cake they made for us too, talk about some blue teeth after that one!
From there we headed to Tablerock lake for a weekend on the water. Owen, Brad and nephews Conor and Taylor relaxing on the boat. Erin, my mom and I parasailing. The girls. Posing with the Guiness poster.
Back to St Louis to meet up with some friends, headed down to the Russell's vineyard and made it to a cards game. We also managed to make it to the pool with Conor and Taylor. We got to have another get together with my friends where we played some games and acted a bit silly, notice Justin and his matching outfit to their wall paint...
Back again to Oklahoma for the fourth when we went bike riding (see Owen's trick below) and played bocce, very relaxing.
Another few days in Dallas and then....
Off to Waikiki Beach where we had a beautiful veiw from our balcony. Wandering around a bit we found some interesting stuff (statue of the Duke who introduced surfing to lots of countries, was a sheriff, an actor, an Olympic swimmer and also saved some people) and a cafe that reminded me of Jimmy Buffet! We made it away from the beach and climbed up the remaining volcanic crater of Diamond Head. After that it gets a bit exciting, Owen asked me to marry him in a park under this tree and we celebrated that night by having some really nice cocktails and tapas.
