These next few are from New Year's Day when Owen and I did a short hike to get to Flint & Steel Beach. We made a rock marker/snowman
Ok onto our holiday now! I really am under my nephew here sledding!
The day after we went down to Forest Park for some ice skating.
While the boys went to the hockey on Thursday night, the girls went out to dinner and to a piano bar. Here are the highschool girls at dinner and then Claire and I at the piano bar.
On Friday morning we had our nails done, the warm water felt wonderful!
And then the rehearsal at Erin's house...
Onto the wedding day! Here we are before we got all dolled up!
Off to London, where while we were one of the first flights that made it in due to a small amount of snow at Heathrow, our luggage was lost! Right by our hotel was The Carpenters pub so we went in for a drink and a photo.
The next day we took the Eurostar to Paris and went for a wander. We stopped by the Pantheon,
Notre Dame (where I was in love with all of the gargoyles),
played in the park behind Notre Dame (the one of me is pretty close to when I flew off!),
and went to Ille de St Louis.
The next day we wandered over to the Louvre
and then we walked to the Eiffel Tower. We got there at sunset and went up to the second floor. Not sure if you can see, but there are people on the stairs. We were lazy and took the elevator up but we walked down.
The next day we went back over that way and went to the Museum of Decorative Objects (something like that). We loved it, and here is a view of some lovely chairs, a view out the window, and Owen and his favorite chair which we now need to get!
Back in London we went to Camden town markets and the Stables during the day. It was freezing and so no photos were taken and we spent the day in and out of pubs. Here we are later in the evening at the hostel we stayed at when we lived there and then we headed off to Dublin Castle for some nice live music.
The next day we went to Selfridges and then to Trafalgar Square as we used to always end up there and I do love the lions! That night we met up with a friend of ours for some pizza and Hagaan Daz (yum!)
Our last day in London was raining and horrible and we spent a large portion of the day at the Tate. I love the installations in Turbine Hall. And the next photo is Owen with some of our favorite art making movements/periods. We bought the Timeline from the shop and I think it is over 5ft long!
We headed off to Singapore for a few days. Owen had a fever and was feeling miserable so we didn't make it out too much. Here is a photo of some big fish outside of the Cathedral and a pic of our 'boutique' room that we stayed in most of the time we were there! And yes we did end up with a pink room and pink walls and pink tiles in the bathroom! Why not the orange or green ones that they have?
Alrighty, sorry this is so massive but there were lots of good pics!
