Then over the long weekend we went up to Newcastle for a 'this is not art' festival and to have a look around. It was a bit windy! Like the hair?

We headed down south a touch to Lake Macquarie for some camping. As we only planned our trip on Saturday... we were a bit behind on fully booked beautiful ocean side camping- but we managed at a lake side caravan park and watched a pelican while we ate. 
On the way home we stopped off at Avoca Beach for a short wander around.

such beautiful pics...did the pelican try to eat your food? he looks scary!
I should move there... everything seems so peaceful.
